Here is a nice vertebra of a Thescelosaurus, a small dinosaur that lived at the last part of the Cretaceous, the end of the Age of Dinosaurs. From the Hell Creek Formation of Montana, North America. The vertebrae measures about 1.85", and it still has the spinal canal, the hole through which the spinal cord passes. Thescelosaurus was bipedal and probably herbivorous. It could grow to 14 feet in length and weigh 600 lbs. One gender was probably larger than the other. Some features, such as toe bones and claws, and teeth, are similar to those of Pachycephalosaurus, but the 2 dinosaurs are quite different. It was found with cracks, which were repaired before being excavated. This is no considered damage with dinosaur bones. In fact, nearly all the dinosaur skeleton bones you see at a museum were once in pieces and glued together.We invite you to visit our store.
