Description: Here's Three Different Rare and Beautiful WYES-TV Design Artist's Proofs and Negative Proof by H. Alvin Sharpe. The Artist's Proof measure 10" square, 9 1/4" square and 8 1/2" in width and 11" in height and are in Excellent Condition. Payment due within 48 hours of purchase. Note: These are the Original Artist's Proof and Negative Proof of the WYES-TV Obverse Design and the Artist's Proof of the WYES-TV Reverse Design Created by H. Alvin Sharpe, the Creator of the Mardi Gras Doubloon. These designs were created for and appeared on several Medallions made by Mr. Sharpe for WYES-TV in New Orleans. The Obverse Design Artist's Proof and Negative Proof are in different stages of completion, but do contain Mr. Sharpe's "HAS" initials. The Obverse Design Artist's Proof appears to be complete. The Reverse Design Artist's Proof reads "EDUCATION...THE BRIDGE LEADING MAN TO NEW WORLDS." I am not certain these designs appeared on the same medallions or not. Mr. Sharpe kept many of the Artist Proofs he made over the years and gave a number of them to his last secretary. She ultimately sold them to a coin dealer in New Orleans from whom I acquired them a few years ago. I have far too many to keep, though I love them all, and now want to share them with other H.
