The ThunderHawk was a unique five-fin rocket made by Estes in the 1980's. It was capable of impressive flights because, despite having similar proportions to the Sizzler, the fins were smaller than a rocket with fewer fins, therefore creating less drag and higher flights. The long length also made this rocket very stable for straight-up performance. The Ken Foss Design ThunderHawk upscales this classic. Capable of G and H powered flights, this rocket will turn heads not only for its size, but its impressive performance as well. Heavy-wall Rocketarium tubes, Aerotech nose cone, Bad Boy Rocketry laser-cut plywood fins and rings and Kevlar shock cord along with vinyl decals from CF Fluid Arts give you the foundation for a first-class build. You provide the motor retention, parachute, rail buttons, and skill, (A Top Flight 30 inch parachute is what Ken uses and is available in our store along with 1010 rail buttons - launch lugs may be allowed in your region, but are not recommended for flights over "G"). A step-by-step instruction sheet is included to guide your assembly. This is a mid to high power rocket capable of G to H flights. It is recommended for Level one certified flyers and intended to be launched at clubs. This is not the kind of rocket you take to the park and fly.
