Description: This is a manual focus lens. It has a CPU and an electronically-controlled diaphragm. According to Nikon, the diaphragm operates automatically with the DSLRs listed here. Also auto exposure modes work with these cameras. This includes D3 and D4 series, Df, D300, D600, D700, and D800 series, D3000, D5000, and D7000 series. The diaphragm is electronic, so it won't work on older film cameras. I have used this lens on a Df and D800E. The stop-down depth-of-field preview button on the camera stops the lens down, and there is a depth-of-field preview button on the lens itself that does the same thing. On the Df, the lens CPU tells the camera EXIF information including the focal length and aperture. I assume it works this way on the other DSLRs in the list, but I have only used it on a Df and D800E. Cosmetically, it is excellent condition with a little metal showing on the adjustment/locking knobs. The tilt/shift mechanisms work properly. The glass is near perfect except for the usual internal dust. Front cap paint wore off the Nikon name, I painted it silver, not perfectly. Also included is a 208 page book on using tilt/shift lenses.
