JBL-4311 Vintage Speakers. Uber-Rare!

Description: For your consideration:For sale is a pair of an extremely hard-to-find JBL 4311. Bottom pairs. The JBL L-100 speakers on top are not for sale (photos 1-to-8). After a long hibernation in the storage inactive since the collapse of the Berlin wall, I was thinking of refurbishing the cabinets before I put them up for sale as they could use some refinishing but does not impede the quality of sound that preceded their reputation from these amazing speakers. I believe the cabinets were hanged in some studio back in the day indicative of the 4 hook-screw fly-points I just removed. The 4311 wood cabinets have been repainted prior and needs some refinishing but no significant damage. These rarely seen, most coveted monitors are a work in progress, all component drivers are excellently intact and functional as should. I have initiated wood fillings and tweeter surround-foams replaced. The cloth grills are decent and did a minor repair on one of the grill frame. On that note, I'm just too inundated with so much projects and might not find the luxury of time to work on them, therefore, I'm selling in as is described working condition. After years of inactivity, prior to ad revision, these babies have been fully refurbished recently from the ground up. Days and long hours invested in the process, included but not limited to: all four original woofers foam edges professionally replaced new, added handles and flushed casters for easy tilt & roll transport mobility, heavy duty large rubber feet, crossovers checked, rewired, cleaned, repainted etc. Bench tested and in good bill-of-health. They have extremely high sensitivity and require very little power to drive. Tested with a crown 150 amp and they're clean & loud conservatively. The subwoofer cabinets are loaded with dual 12" drivers. Mid horns and tweeters are housed in custom enclosed cases with removable front covers. Configurable passive crossover for bi-amp or full range. This model is no longer in production and becoming extremely rare so here's your opportunity to posses these sonic wonders of classic vintage speakers from the earlier EV quality product. A true conversational piece among a few colleagues and contemporaries over a beer exchanging anecdotes, comparing “biases” “total harmonic distortion” and some “signal-to-noise-ratio” or perhaps reminiscing about the day when analog once ruled the world while “ones & zeros” were nothing but kindergarten elements.
