The subject was one of several guests who signed autographs at the first-ever East Coast national event. This card, however, is not signed. According to the comprehensive Beckett Baseball Card Alphabetical Checklist book, this card was only the second-ever issued depicting former big league umpire Tom Gorman, the first being his 1955 Bowman Gum card.
