Description: Title: Untitled 2021Signed and dated in the front and back. I did not want to sign it in the front because since it is an abstract the signature would guide the position of the artwork and I would prefer the buyer to decide that. The paper is glossy and I had to scan the artwork instead of photographing it to avoid glare. The glare you see in some of these is actually in the artwork itself and that is what it makes it so special. Personally they have a calming effect in my brain and a sensation of rhythm with nature. The three-dimensionality and depth of this work is simply astonishing. Once you have it in your hands you will understand my point because you probably haven't seen anything like this before.Size: 5x7 inchesMedium: Kodak Silver gelatin RC B&W glossy photo paper This is a Chemigram. Look it up! I've been doing them for a long time and until now I never knew the name of this medium. While I was doing this for almost 10 years without any outside influence my style became more developed and streamlined that other artists who rely on the element of chance most of the time. This is a result of my own combination and manipulation of different chemicals mostly darkroom photo developer fixer and other unconventional household liquids. Everything is done camera-less over exposed photographic Kodak B&W paper and in plain daylight. The result is a combined painting technique using an alternative photographic process. Do Not get confused with the rest of my work that is done on digital photo paper using color inks. The process is completely different as well as the final outcome. My most frequently asked question is:Is it original?-Yes. I paint directly onto various types of blank photographic papers and canvas using water, color inks, and unconventional household chemicals and liquids of different viscosities. The movement of the liquids creates physical reactions that are instantly registered by the inks on the paper. The result are paintings characterized by sharpness, tonal gradation, depth of field, and flowing movement, resembling the work of nature. Each painting is one-of-a-kind, I do not use cameras, digital printers, or any other form of reproduction. The second most frequently asked question:Why do I offer my paintings at such an affordable price?-I am a prolific artist that paints almost every day. Therefore, I can share my paintings at a very modest price, ...or I end up buried in a sea of my own creations. I have sold thousands of paintings and I feel happy knowing that they found a home where they will be cherished for many years. My third most asked question is: How long do your paintings last? -They will last for generations if shown behind glass. Better if the glass is UV protected. I still have in my living room 2 paintings from 2004 and they look as good as decades ago. Although the paper is photographic, the amount of ink that I use to paint them by hand is far greater than the ink that the printer will use in a standard photograph, saturating the paper to the max which contributes significantly to the artwork's longevity. In my paintings on canvas I apply a coat of clear acrylic, since they are supposed to be shown without a glass in front.
