Printed under the image (on the backing paper) is the following: Plate Thirteen MAXIME DETHOMAS AT THE OPERA BALL (1896) National Gallery of Art, Washington (Chester Dale Loan) Oil, 27 1/2” x 22” This 72-year-old print is in VERY GOOD condition. There is moderate toning to the backing paper along with some MODERATE damage to the backing paper, top edge, which could easily be covered when matted and framed. The print measures 10 7/8” x 14 1/2” (27.6cm x 36.8cm) The tipped-in image is approximately 7 3/4" x 10" (19.7cm x 25.4cm) This print would be a welcomed addition to any collection of Toulouse-Lautrec memorabilia, or it would make a thoughtful, unique gift.
