Description: Up for sale is a copy of Transactions of the American Ethnological Society Vol 1 from 1845. Published in 1845 in NEw York by Bartlett and Welford and London by Wiley and Putnam. Book includes several fold out engravings including a fascinating one of "The Calendar Stone" which is a famous Aztec piece. Book is ex library with a old withdrawn sticker from Bowdoin College. It is in pretty nice shape besides the couple of markings and sticker. Foldouts are in good condition, pages generally clean except for browning and light spotting. Wear to the boards including scuffing at leather portion of boards. Binding is sold. Volume 1 only. Several different articles with various illustrations.
