Description: Rare, full, unused and unstruck 1940's vintage front strike matchbook in near mint condition from Travler's Restaurant and Bar that was located at 490 Eighth Street, between 34th and 35th Streets, in New York City, New York. I haven't found any history on this old restaurant, as of yet, but the front of the matchbook advertises "Intimate Cocktail Lounge" and on the back cover reads "Sea Food Steaks Chops" and "Opposite Hotel New Yorker". I hear there is a McDonald's at this location today. I have posted a couple of old photos taken on December 19th, 1946 of Travler's Restaurant for your viewing pleasure. All matchbooks are sealed in plastic wrap and shipped in a protective cardboard sleeve to prevent any damage to the product. I do combined shipping and " get it there fast" shipping.
