The color photographs, made especially for this exhibition, were taken in Cairo by Lee Boltin, with Ken Kay. Most of the black and white pictures were made in the course of Howard Carter's excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb by the expedition photographer, Harry Burton. Prints were made from Burton's original glass negatives in the Metropolitan Museum's Photograph Studio, with the help of William F.
