Trek 56cm frame 500 tri series Reynolds 531 lugged VINTAGE STEEL carbon fork too

Description: This is a vintage lugged Reynolds 531 steel frame from Trek in (my guesstimate) a 56cm size, together with a Performance Forte carbon fork with a steerer tube cut to fit the Trek frame. I am not a road bike connoisseur, though I think that this frame dates from the early 1980s. Please carefully examine the photos: there is a small dent at the bottom of the down tube very close to the bottom bracket on the drive side. Don't think of this little dent as a defect. Think of it as a indication that the bike has really lived, kind of like character lines on a person's face. The fork is very light. Some riders like to combine a vintage steel frame with a modern carbon fork. The bottom bracket threads are fine. There are no problems with the frame to provide you with unhappy surprises, as long as you can live with the small dent at the bottom of the down tube.
