See full description for measurements and condition notes. *True Antique FAN Paris France Handpainted, Gilt Wooden Sticks 1920's Description True Antique French Ladies Fan, dating to the 1920's. Hand painted on both sides, with paint extending down onto the gilt sticks, having a Chinoisere theme. Silk on heavy liner, top edge trimmed in tiny lace. Very old paper label hand written "Maison Alg Girovx Paris". Guard Sticks nicely formed, as well at the sticks, all of which are intact. Condition notes: Loss to gilt on sticks and guard sticks, lace soiled, rivet and loop missing - very old tie made of metallic braid. See photos for detail. This fan would make a nice project for a fan restorationist. Measuring 11 3/4" long, with an arc of approximately 31" around, and 22" wide when fully opened.
