Description: TRUSSARDI UOMO 50 ml Eau de Toilette ~ ‘Version Originale’ 1983 ~ 75% Fill ~ Mint Condition. This scent was one of the leading leather fragrances for men introduced during the heyday of the 80s and became much imitated — including the bottle’s sleek leather-like skin and finish. This bottle, purchased in Paris at the Trussardi shop near the Hotel Bristol, is the “version originale” with its bergamot and sage opening overlaying warm nutmeg notes on a sandalwood and cedar base. This release is not to be confused with the later reformulations which are simplified in composition and presentation. Today the perfume has a favorability rating of 84% in Basenotes, one of the highest recorded. Trussardi Uomo is a true classic for the collector and admirer of great mens’ perfumes. As was the standard in its day, the screw top cap covers the splash opening. Because the bottle is opaque, I can only estimate its fill at between 75-90%.
