Description: For sale is this good tested Chicago tube amp power supply choke 9462? stamped 044-2150-00about 150 DC ohms, about 4 x 4 x 5", mounting centers 3 1/4 x 3 to 3 1/4"measures over 20 henry, weighing over 8 pounds, if you have at least 47 uF before and after choke,its probably good for several hundred ma.remember with cap before and after choke, you get about 1.4x the AC voltage, i.e.200VAC diodes cap choke cap gives you about 280VDC. there is something called INPUT choke, you'd get the 200VAC, diodes, (no cap), choke, then cap with bleeder resistor (about 1 watt load). You'd get closer to 200VDC and about 40% more useful ma from the transformer. But input chokes are huge, a 500 machoke (with caps before it) might only be good for 100 or 120ma used as input choke. I think this would be good for about 100-150ma as input choke, but I have no way to test current limit, it tests about 150 DC ohms and over 20H on inductance meter
