Description: Two Sets Of Antique UNION CLUB OF BOSTON Stationery Handwritten Toasts Speeches Very unique pieces of ephemera related to the longstanding Union Club of Boston, Massachusetts believed to be circa early 1900s. Set of two, four-page stationery sheets that measure 10” x 7-3/4”. Each has handwritten numbers, I and II, in upper left corners of front sheet. Printed in blue ink at top of each with UNION CLUB OF BOSTON. Exceptionally beautiful cursive writing on each penned with black fountain ink. Appear to be original toasts, write in rhyming, poem-like stanzas, directed toward two fellow club members. Piece I mentions one Kenny Web. Piece II mentions Andy Ward. The toasts/roasts are very humorous and well-written. Sadly, undated and the author is unknown. These stationery sheets are high quality and watermarked Devonshire Linen. These pages are in very fine condition. Creases from having once been folded. No rips or tears. Please review photos. The Union Club of Boston was founded in 1863 and is still in existence. A fine addition to any ephemera, stationery or collection of Boston-related items! Thanks for looking.
