For residents of countries outside the socialist bloc, this model was known as the Olympia Traveller de Luxe, which was a logical development of the line of ultra-portable typewriters of the Olympia brand with more modern shapes and bright colors that attracted attention. Over time, Olympia began to globalize its production and produce its typewriters in countries with lower labor costs - Germany, Great Britain and Canada were joined by Yugoslavia and even the GDR, as well as other countries. This step allowed the Yugoslav factory to open exports of these typewriters to socialist countries, including the USSR. And since the prices for tbm de Luxe were lower than the prices for typewriters from the GDR, and the quality was many times better than typewriters produced in the USSR, the choice of many buyers were in favor of Yugoslav production.The modern public loves this model for its expressive design.
