Description: ULTRA RARE Vintage 1960’s BEANY & CECIL TV PALS TWO-TOGETHER Doll Set Mattel Bob Clampett 🌟🎥🎨 Your favorite TV Pals…as seen each week on Matty’s Funnies with Beany and Cecil, the Seasick Sea Serpent TV Show on ABC TV. Cecil sits up! Gently bend his neck forward or backward, or to either side, to give him proper balance. YOU CAN TELL IT’S MATEL … IT’S SWELL! Beany Doll: Beany stands approx. 17” tall, he has his spinning propeller cap, a signature accessory from the show. Beany is extremely clean, and, not played with and in MINT Condition. They were mine as a little girl. Cecil Doll: Cecil, the Seasick Serpent stands approx. 17” tall in his curled position and is bendable. Cecil is extremely well preserved, clean and not played with. Except for 1 felt nostril which can be restored by a Professional Doll Restorer. The Beany & Cecil Box: The box itself started breaking down by old age. Before clear tape existed, I was holding it together with masking tape (you can see masking tape markings). Years ago I taped the whole box with clear tape which has kept the box in its current condition. These two plush dolls WERE NOT PLAYED WITH and kept in their box. We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, I wanted to keep my toys clean so I didn’t play with them. The 1960s Beany & Cecil, the Seasick Serpent TV PALS Doll Set by Mattel is a delightful collector’s item! Beany, the adventurous boy with his iconic propeller cap. Cecil is Beany’s loyal companion in the cartoon, the friendly but perpetually seasick sea serpent. The Beany and Cecil show, created by Bob Clampett, left a lasting impression on viewers during its run and let’s not forget the other two main characters Captain Horatio Huffenpuff, Beany’s treasure-hunting uncle and Dishonest John, The show’s villain.
