The coin displays the bust of Charles C. Brooke, the ruler of Sarawak at the time, facing right with the legend "C. V. BROOKE RAJAH" surrounding it on the obverse. The reverse displays the denomination in the center within a wreath and the word "SARAWAK" on top and that date 1937 on the bottom. The reverse also displays the mint mark "H" above the date (the H in this coin is not as pronounced as usual but is there). The coin has a plain edge and is has a nice red appearance and has great eye appeal. It is KM 18, weighs ~5.4 grams and is ~24.5 mm in diameter. The coin has all of its details well preserved no observable wear commensurate with its uncirculated state. The coin has a few scratches, minor bag marks to the surface and a few minor blemishes to the surface, all of which can be seen in the photos.
