Description: Uncommon Sargent King Patent 1907 8 Inch Bevel Square. This weighs 8 1/2 oz unboxed. Ernest A. King of Philadelphia, PA was granted Pat. No. 869,851 on Oct. 29, 1907 for the design of this tool which was made by Disston as well as Sargent (or maybe made for Sargent). This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The blade is good save for some factory machining marks and a little frosting. The edges and corners are good. The plating on the handle is is pretty much MIA, but there isn't much in the way of other patina. The locking screw works and holds, and both screws were oiled. This ain't perfect, but these guys sure do not show up very often either. A working and collectible old tool for sure! All items for sale unless otherwise noted are purchased and in most cases professionally restored by me. I take pride in offering quality items. Not everything is perfect, but it is as I say it is. Also, I smoke a pipe, drink whiskey, both cheap and good, and cuss more in a hour than most folks do in a month. If any or all of the above bother's ya, well then we ain't got no reason to be doing business. RULES OF THE GAME 2023 EDITION - READ ME! NO BEST OFFERS I am happy to combine shipping on purchases.
