Description: Offered is "Janet" -- a new* original, glittering multimedia artwork by Rebecca Bailey Sandlin, featuring a holiday arrangement of vintage gold-toned jewelry in a Christmas Tree design, lit by 20 incandescent mini lights. The antique frame has been restored and is set off by a dark green velvet background (the green color does not always show in the photos). Vintage and modern jewelry pieces decorate the "tree," and when the lights come on the jewelry sparkles like nobody's business! The picture measures 25 inches tall by 21-1/2 inches wide. It is about 3-1/2 inches deep with a protective perforated back to protect the lights and felt pads to protect walls. A wire hanger completes the back. The piece weighs 10 pounds, so a nail or screw-type bolt in a wall stud will be needed to hang it (not Command hooks!). It takes about 30 hours to create and produce an artwork such as this picture.This picture will be cherished for years to come! I still have the original one I made with my mom when I was 15 (more than 50 years ago!) and with care it has remained in as good of shape as the day we first hung it on our living room wall.
