Description: I will begin my description sharing with you that this is an unusual listing. This marketing prototype included the 1950s wind-up tin tricycle with the plastic rabbit riding upon it. It was found in the office of an Advertising/Marketing Creator with his collection of memorabilia from his career. I do not know the back-story. Was the company he created for doing a presentation for a toy company and this was used as a sample of their clever ideas? Maybe it was for one of the toy companies that still makes little wind-ups similar to this vintage piece? That may be the situation since the bottom of the box is labeled "Rodney Rabbit, Version One" and "Archive Original, April 2017, 3 of 3". It is signed by the creator. Regarding condition of the two pieces:The box is clean and made of cardboard. It is neatly covered with four separate pieces of printed paper on the sides plus another on the bottom. The pieces are neatly adhered to the cardboard. Some "rumples" can be seen along/near the edges and a few areas where the very edge of the paper is pulled away a bit, probably from handling. The cover of the box is made of thin wood, luan I believe. It is painted a flat dark red/maroon/cranberry to match the trim color on the box. The toy, when wound gently, will go forward in circular direction as the tricycles handle bars are in a stationary position pointing slightly to one side. The bell has a good ring to it. The toy has been played with judging by the condition; the plastic rabbit and tricycle have some "vintage grime". There is some rust under the grime on the tin. My experience is to never touch the rust or bubbles as it may take the paint off. The "Happy Easter" flag is made of coated paper. The pointed end has a curl/fold. There are some stains/spots on the paper where it wraps around the plastic pole. I am including USPS Ground Advantage Shipping at no additional cost to you!
