(The Golden Dome, The Basilica of the Sacred Heart, The Grotto, and The Four Horsemen) There were two sizes with the larger size being a Limited Edition. The #1/95 of each sculpture was presented to the following:The Golden Dome – Fr. Jenkins – President of the University of Notre Dame The Basilica – Fr. Rocca – Rector of the Basilica of the Sacred HeartThe Grotto – Fr. Hesburgh – President of the University of Notre Dame (1952-1987). It hung in his office in the Library The Four Horsemen – Chuck Lennon – Exec. Dir. of the NDAA. It hangs in the Eck Center lobby.Kamish also worked with Charlie Weis to help raise money for his charity Hannah and Friends. He created the Rudy Award for Rudy Ruettiger and created the Kelly Award for Coach Kelly and Paqui Kelly’s nonprofit Kelly Cares Foundation with the award being presented to Regis Philbin at the Waldorf Astoria, NYC. In 2010, Kamish was commissioned by the University of Notre Dame Development Department to create a 42” bronze and gold gilded sculpture in the likeness of Our Lady that stands atop the Golden Dome. One copy resides in the lobby of the Development Offices and a second at the Morris Inn. In 2019, Kamish created a 15″ lost-wax bronze Limited Edition sculpture of Our Mother. This was an exact replicate of his 42″ Our Mother. Sculptures are available in both sizes.In 2021, Kamish completed a 16″ Limited Edition replica of Fr. Sorin. Summer of 2022, Kamish teamed up with Jim Lefebvre and the Knute Rockne Memorial Society. Jim is a Minnesota native and author of Loyal Sons: The Story of the Four Horsemen and Notre Dame Football’s 1924 Champions. Jim is also the Executive Director of the Knute Rockne Memorial Society (KRMS). We have assembled a team of key players to create, fund, produce, and display a monumental relief sculpture memorializing and depicting the story of the legendary 1924 Notre Dame Football National Champions. Summer of 2023, Kamish completed Phase I (the detail study drawing) We’re delighted to announce that the Notre Dame 1924 Project; Phase II (Smaller 8-foot Maquette Sculpture) has commenced, and the first sculpture of Knute Rockne on the right side is already in progress.
