Description: Unread Oxford Book of Common Prayer BCP 1979 Compact Pocket Episcopal 7402 This is a unique, red compact edition of the pre-Revised Common Lectionary Book of Common Prayer. It is bonded/imitation leather, but quite flexible. The typeface is very pleasant. The paper quality is consistently superior with increased opacity. Please note the certification year if that is important to you. These older editions have much higher quality than the current Oxford print runs. I found no writing, the binding is is perfect condition, and the gilding is in perfect condition. Almost all the pages still stick, so it was untouched. All the pages fan out when you open it because they’ve literally never been turned. Remarkable to find one in this condition! The font size and typeface is my much larger than one finds in modern editions. This is helped by a great typeface and very little ghosting or “bleedthrough.” The presentation page is filled as is a blank intro page. Almost every single page “sticks” and just to get the pictures for the listing I had to separate almost every page. It is entirely unread.
