Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for an unusual vintage Art Deco period celluloid and wood jewelry box with decorative hand enameled portrait medallion, c. 1920s. Nice footed and hinged jewelry box decorated with celluloid exterior with serpentine sides. The center of the lid features a beautiful hand enameled portrait of a woman surrounded with embossed bronze/brass bezel. The interior is lined with red velvet that does reflect wear commensurate with age. The hinge is tight and box opens and closes nicely. The box is in very good Estate condition with no chips or cracks in the celluloid. Measures 2 3/4" high, 5 1/2" wide and 4" deep.
