I believe it's likely made out of thin wood or straw panels? Or something like that? It does have some wear. There is some breaking or chipping of the glaze over the hat on one side (see photos 5 - 7), as well as some stray marks, scuffs/scratches, edgewear, etc. Please take a close look at all the photos; they are part of the description, and may highlight other flaws or issues I missed. I received this secondhand and don't know its full history, but my home is smoke-free.
