Description: Currently available is this U.S. Marine Corps M-65 Field Jacket made by the John Ownby co., Inc. in 1972 . Designed to replace the earlier M-51 field jacket, the M-65 incorporated a built in hood, and velcro adjustable cuffs. This field jacket is made in a size Medium-Regular with an OD Quarpel treated water resistant cotton shell fitting a 44" (111.8 cm) chest, 18 1/2" (47.0 cm) sleeve length and a 31" (78.8 cm) overall length with two breast and two lower pockets, zipper and snap front, waist and hem drawstrings with buttons on the inside for attaching a quilted liner for extra warmth. This M-65 field jacket is in good used condition with a non-working snap to the upper left pocket flap, a small burn hole under the collar and some paint stains (the Marines liked to have their men painting stuff).
