Description: This single U.S. Scott #215 - 4 cent Used stamp features the elliptical framed portrait of a bust of Andrew Jackson. The stamp's perforations are in reasonably good condition and the centering is slightly to the top, hence the Used Fine-Very Fine condition. The hand cancellation is light and allows the stamp's design to shine through. Why invest in used stamps as opposed to unused stamps? Pre-WW II used stamps are rare as well as unused, but they are much more affordable and therefore, more attainable. This series is one of the earliest ones. The #215s were issued in the United States in 1869 within 4 years of the end of the Civil War. #215 stamps are perfect for collectors who are interested in patriotic topics and are looking for a unique addition to their collection. The stamp of this auction is started at the Scott 2008 United States Specialized Valuing Supplement value of $15. Thanks for bidding on such a great deal and be sure to see my other US Used stamp auctions.
