Description: U.S. Scott 815 Prexie/Prexy issue (3 copies) paying the 30 cent airmail rate. Because it is a window envelope, there is no address and there are no receiving marks, but this was most likely either a double weight (up to 1 ounce) letter to Europe or a triple weight (up to 1.5 ounces) letter to the Caribbean or Central or South America. The only other possible rate is a quintipuple weight domestic cover that would weigh up to 5 bounces, which is very unlikely considering the envelope size. Originally mailed on November 26, 1952 from the Church Street Station in New York City, without postage attached, and "Returned for Postage" to the sender. Postage was added and letter was re-mailed on November 28th. The cover has normal wear and tear including minor creases and tears (see scans).
