Description: US WW2 Canteen 1945 Swanson Co 1qt Metal w/ OD M1910 Cover 1951 Collette Mfg. Cup has U.S. Foley MFG CO 1945 engraved on bottom of handle. Canteen has U.S. Swanson Co 1945 engraved on bottom. Cover has Collette MFG Co 1951 stamped on rear. U.S. stamped on front. Also name written on front "Sonny" I believe the second name is Ernest? Unsure exactly. F 2361 stamped on bottom of cover. Canteen and cup have scratches and dents I'm sure due to use canteen appears to have a welded repair. The clasps for the cover work with no issues. One under flap of cover has crease from being in the same position for years. Cork bottom of canteen lid is gone. I did not inspect the inside of the canteen and did not see if it still holds liquid therefore this is as is condition. Cover had some dirtiness and fading. Please see pictures for condition.
