Description: One (1) set of USGI combat field suspenders used to support the pack and cartridge belt. They were designated M1944 suspenders by the army. This set is the earlier WW2 produced version with steel hardware- it IS NOT the later 1945 version which have the extra padding on the shoulders. They are US Military issue and dark olive drab green, made from heavy cotton canvas. These suspenders are in good overall condition with all buckles and hooks and are ready to use. I bought a crate of 30 sets of these WW2/Korea issue suspenders thinking that they were new. On examination, however, they were clearly issued and used as the metal fittings finish on some are more worn than others and the ink stamps are faded on many. Evidently they were repacked by the Army in January 1954 and stored for later use. I included pictures of the crate just so you can see how they were packed. Crate is not included and once again- sale is for only one (1) set of suspenders. I am selling these one at a time- you will get exactly the suspenders shown in the first seven photos. These are nice suspenders for reenacting or combat display, but not brand new. Expect used, good serviceable condition. All brass tabs, steel clips, and buckles are sound and secure. Please review photos carefully to see condition for yourself. These particular ones have a very faded "U.S." and date on one strap- I can't make out the date. Please see detail pictures.
