Description: This is a very high quality new flag pin. Shiny gold-tone metal with red, white, blue and brown enamel. Soaring/landing eagle and waving flag featured. The flag has the regulation thirteen stripes and fifty stars configuration. The eagle has great detail with feathers, talons, beak and eye, down to his white tail feathers... Very striking for a lapel or hat pin. This is not a cheap flimsy metal pin with a wobbly back. The pin is nicely manufactured and "hefty"; about the thickness of a United States quarter coin. This waving flag pin is larger than other flag pins, measuring approximately 1 1/2 inch across. The clutch back is strong and fits tight. It comes packed in a cellophane envelope. The pin is "cloisonné" effect; the pins are die-struck and then enamel coloring is applied by hand. The color sits lower than the raised metal lines giving the pin a textured look and feel, creating the eagle and flag's design. No epoxy coating is included on top--the resulting effect is brighter and dressier than with the epoxy "cap". Thank you for looking.
