Description: The Patch: This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage USAAF Aviation Cadet Shoulder shoulder patch embroidered on felt with a white back. This one is the black variation of this insignia. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The Aviation Cadet program was established in World War I to fill immediate Air Corps needs and to establish a reserve of qualified personnel for later training. During World War II, this program was expanded to provide most of the personnel in the Air Corps flying and ground units. In addition to training personnel for flying duties, the Aviation Cadet program trained soldiers in the occupational career fields of Armament, Communications, Engineering, Radar, and Weather.Please read my auction requirements.
