Description: USAF General Dynamics F-16 Nose Gear Wheel JAY-EM Corp. Assy. 220 A123-2 18x5.5 This is a USAF General Dynamics F-16 nose gear wheel. I bought this with the intention of finding a tire for it and making a table out of it, but it hasn't happened so it's time for it to go. The wheel looks nice and does not have any damage, but it was probably replaced as unserviceable. I don't know if they change them out for time or number of landings or something similar. The wheel itself is about 9 3/4" in diameter and about 5 3/4" wide. It would have had an 18" tire on it. It is marked "JAY-EM CORP AKRON OHIO ASSY NO 220 A123-2 PART NO 220A283-2 SIZE 18X5.5 TYPE VII SERIAL NO XXX DATE 07/05 HEAT LOT NO 14446. The wheel is in used surplus condition. I still think this would make a great table with a tire and a piece of glass on it. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close or high bidder loses all right to property.
