The blade contains a high amount of carbon, making it prone to rust. To maintain its quality, please keep it clean and dry when not in use. I recommend storing it wrapped in a dried towel or putting on it rather tan placing it in a knife block or magnetic strips. After cutting acidic foods, wipe the blade with a damp towel promptly - no need to do do this after every single cut, just at the end of task. However, I have oiled and coated the surface of the blade with a food-grade silicone spray. So, it won't rust as easily. Additionally, if you wash and dry the knife regularly every day for several weeks, the surface will naturally develop an oxidation coat, further protecting it from rust. But you need to keep it clean and dry.
