USS Enterprise CV-6: Commissioned in 1938, the first "Big E" had involvement in nearly every major Pacific Theater campaign. On 7 December 1941 she was based at Pearl Harbor, but was returning from Wake Island and was not attacked by the enemy. She fought in the Battle of Midway and launched many of the USN and USMC aircraft that defeated the enemy fleet. At the end of WW II she had earned twenty Battle Stars! and a Presidential Unit Commendation.
