Description: Here is a vintage Russian postcard featuring cosmonaut Valentine Tereshkova. She is known for being the first and youngest woman in space, having flown a solo mission on the Vostok 6 in June of 1963. She orbited the Earth 48 times, spent almost three days in space, and remains the only woman to have been on a solo space mission. Text on the back is in Russian. The card is unposted and in VG condition. It appears that it may have been trimmed, as the bottom edge is slightly shorter than the top. The photo of the back gives you some idea, as the text appears slightly slanted. Card ships USPS first class, in a stiff white envelope.Padded envelope with tracking available for an additional $3.
