Please excuse any glare in the photos. This elephant is glazed turquoise, with deeper blue highlights. The elephant is standing, and its trunk is up. This item measures approximately 4 inches long, 3 1/2 inches tall, and 1 1/2 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs 4.8 ounces. This would be a neat addition to a collection of Colorado art pottery. Identification This Van Briggle elephant is marked beneath, as shown. It was made in Colorado Springs. The exact age of this vintage piece is not known. Condition The elephant looks very good overall, with no chips or cracks. Some small indents and imperfections in the base are as made, and do not detract.
