Description: In 1968 Verne Langdon moved on from being the co-owner of Don post studios to pursue other passions such as music. But in 1972 Verne made some faces for fun (one of them being the zombie) and had photographer Milt Lewis take shots of them, He went on to send the photos to James Warren to use in Famous Monsters magazine, which ended up being used on the cover of the 1972 Annual Creepy Spooktacular. This resulted in many monster and horror fans writing and calling the publication asking to buy this hippie zombie mask. Few were made and they are impossible to come by today without paying thousands of dollars if you're lucky enough to find one that exists. This Langdon Zombie is a 1st generation recast that was enlarged so you can actually wear it comfortably. It was created by Dwayne Whitehead and was sold as a very limited edition quite a few years ago. It's been in my collection and never worn, only displayed. This is about as close as you'll get to an original!
