This Live Steam Engine is in a very good restored condition.It has been air tested (video) and should not give much trouble to operate on steam. Sometimes, an older gasket has dried up, needing replacement. Hopefully, that won't be the case.The heating element warms up using the electric cord that is provided. The engine is complete, except for the original box that is missing.All the parts are Empire original except for a newer electric cord.While originally chromed, this engine has been brushed to its very nice solid copper and bronze base.It has a very nice patina, but could be polished to a mirror finish or re-chromed. Not a dent and no rust ; it is truly a nice looking engine.Using solely distilled water is very strongly recommended. Please select the shipping system that suits you best. That was 65 years ago. I have been collecting them for 25 years and I am now 74. None of my descendants is interested in the collection, so I decided that it was time to liquidate.
