Overall contents generally clean; varying degrees of foxing but nothing distracting. Foldouts are also overall issue free - sporadic splits/minor tears but this is certainly one of the better sets I have handled. Volume I; 1849; 786 pages plus Directions to binder; period writing on front free end paper. Former owner stamp on inside pastedown, title page, and reverse of large foldout map in rear- nothing distracting and somewhat common for this set. Minor repairs noted on edges of binding for preservation. Large foldout map well preserved with a tear near where it is bound as well as splits in creases. Volume II; 1859; 1211 pages plus index to illustrations. Fine condition. Volume III; 1850; 1215 pages. Former owner stamp on inside pastedown and reverse of frontispiece. Period writing seen on front free end paper. Minor repairs to edges for preservation. Volume IV; 1851; 1144 pages. Very good plus condition. Please message with any questions.
