Very Rare Average Condition - 1920s Empire Turbine B35 Live Steam Engine # 2055

Description: LIVING ESTATE SALE (Details at the end of description) MA/AI For your consideration is an Empire B35 Live Steam Turbine manufactured in the USA by Metalware in the 1920s. It has been partially restored but reaching only an average condition (in my opinion).It has been air tested (video) and runs well. It might run on steam without a whole lot of trouble, but keep in mind that this type of engine is not very powerful due to the design. The air/steam flow activates the turbine in a way that is not very efficient.The heating element warms up and the cord is new old stock. A few things to signal : - The engine was disassembled, repainted and polished. It has an attractive patina-like but is not chromed like the original version. - The dome whistle is not original and only blows air/steam. - The grille in front of the turbine is bent at several places. - The boiler as quite a few bumps (photos). The boiler is made of extremely strong solid copper, so, it does not affect the operation ; it's only cosmetic. So, it is certainly not perfect but it is nevertheless a rare find. You don't see very many of these centenarians for sale nowadays. Condition :The near centenarian has been partially restored to an average condition. It has been air tested (video) and runs well. That was 65 years ago. I have been collecting them for 25 years and I am now 74. None of my descendants is interested in the collection, so I decided that it was time to liquidate.
