Description: When Southern belle Susanna Drake (Elizabeth Taylor) visits Indiana, she falls for John Wickliff Shawnessy (Montgomery Clift), an abolitionist with strong ideals. However, John falters while he lets Drake tempt him away from his true love, Nell Gaither (Eva Marie Saint).
