Description: Hi - This is a Vintage, Victor Talking Machine, VV-50, #2045. The "VV" stands for Victor Victrola. The number 2045 is the serial number of this talking machine. This was manufactured in 1921. I've seen a lot of these VV-50's listed on eBay and their serial numbers are really quite high (100,000's or more). This Victrola has a very low serial number. This Victor Talking Machine is designed to be like a portable suitcase. It packs up and has a metal handle at the top so you can easily carry it. When you remove the turntable, you will see the motor and on the back of the board, you will see the instructions on how to oil and service the motor when it needs repairs. The underneath also shows a silver part that has the number #7832. I'm not sure what that means. Maybe just the part #. I have not tested this, so I don't know if it works. As you look through the pictures you will see some of the wood is starting to deteriorate. The left side wood railing has a piece of the wood that needs to be glued down, it keeps falling off. Some of the side brackets are rusty, but that comes with the age and years of use. There also some bolts that are missing. The bolts attach the turntable to the wooden box. The needle on this says, Victrola No.2 . I believe there is a needle in it already. I do not know what number it is. As pictured, the "crank" is included as well. It's not rusty and seems to be in pretty good shape. This one cranks in the front. The weight of the Victor Talking Machine is 23 lbs. The height is 12"The width is 9"The length is 17.5" Thank you for looking at this Victor Talking Machine VV-50 and Thank you for shopping with me! Kelly
