Description: This listing is for the antique Eastlake frame that you see in the photo. I purchased it at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told it's history. I believe that it is from the last half of the 19th century. It comes with the original Heiner Kramer etching that you see in the photos. The etching was in the frame when I purchased it. The frame measures close to 15 1/4 by 13 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches. The opening at the back of the frame measures close to 10 1/4 by 8 1/4 inches. The frame weighs close to 3 pounds 8 ounces. The print is behind glass. I temporarily removed the print from the frame and took photos of the print. The print will be back in the frame when you receive it. As you can see, the sides of the print were folded for it to fit in the frame. Some of the left and right edges of the print are not showing when it is in the frame. The photos show some writing in pencil that is also hidden by the folds. I do not see Heiner Kramer signature. I identified the artist by doing some research. I imagine that the writing identifies the location. One of the words looks like "Rothenburg" which is Germany. The paper looks and feels relatively thicik. I am guessing that the hand colored etching is original. I leave it to the buyer to decide whether or not it is. I believe that most of the value of this item lies with the frame. The condition is much like you see in the photos. The etching has the folds that you see in the photos. Otherwise, it is fine. The back of the frame shows wear as one would expect for its age. The finished part of the frame is in excellent condition with a few tiny imperfections like specks of white that might be from when it was made. The narrow band of gold gilt closest to the prints shows some deterioration or the gold missing for some other reason. There is a small amount of missing gold on the outer gold trim. The frame might benefit from a light cleaning. Otherwise, print and frame are as shown. I guarantee this item to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them. I allow three business days for shipping, but I usually ship the same or next day if possible. Please note that the lighting in my photos is uneven, and there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors; different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs "approximately" because no measurements are exact, and some things are difficult to measure.I like to leave feedback after I know that the item has arrived and that the buyer is satisfied. I reserve the right to cancel any bids without explanation. I sometimes purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often, but not always, ship the same or next day. Often, I have a double-walled box custom made for larger items, which might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually made from biodegradable materials. Please email me with any questions or suggestions. I do not ship on weekends, and I might not be available to answer emails on weekends. Thanks for looking at my ad.
