Description: VICTORIAN EDWARDIAN STERLING SILVER GUILLOCHE ENAMEL FIGURAL FLOWER BASKET BROOCH C-CLASP Stunning Victorian-era figural sterling silver guilloché enamel brooch modeled as a bow-topped footed flower basket. This is a dainty, delicate pin with a lot going for it. The basket is a bright ocean /aqua blue highly translucent guilloché enamel and it is filled with flowers accented with tiny turquoise ballotini glass balls and white moonstone-like cabochons. The handle is topped with a celery-green enamel bow. Wonderful antique condition with a few small quibbles. The blue enamel is pristine but there seems to be a tiny amount of loss to the green bow. All the turquoise balls are present but there are 2 tiny white cabs missing—one each from the flowers on the right and left sides. You can only see them if you enlarge the images but they’re so tiny that it’s impossible to see in real life. Overall the brooch presents wonderfully. The original c-clasp is present and holds securely. It has an extended pin stem, indicating an early date. I believe the pin dates to circa the 1870-80’s but I have added “Edwardian” to the description because women of that era favored flower basket jewelry. They nixed the fussy Victorian jewelry of their mothers and grandmothers but fresh colorful flower baskets were very much appreciated and worn. This is a pretty pin and would look wonderful on a lapel collar or white shirt. HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING
