Victorian / Mid-19thC. framed illustration / Caricature of Farmer in Smock Oval Brass Frame 17.5cm x 13.4cm Some dings around frame rimGlazed.Card to rear appears to be dated 1828 in fountain pen - I could be wrong Illustration - pen and ink / paint ? Gentleman Farmer ? Boots / Shorts with White over smock with initials on front Top hat and Pitch Fork .Haystacks to rear and Church to rear right . On a social History / Historical note - apparently Farmers Wives made these Smocks - some fancier than others Different regions had subtle regional styles .This one has Initials and collar .
