Attributed to the British painter Hans Busk (1815 – 1882). The painting, dating to c1870/80, was allegedly purchased in 1986 from the Busk estate, then gifted and sold several times at auction but we have no documentary evidence to substantiate this, just rumours accounting for the artist’ attribution. Several examples of the work of Hans Busk can be seen on artprice.com, archdeacon, findartinfo.com, askart.com and christies.com (sale of British and continental pictures, 2018) Presented in very good condition in a later frame, this painting will look fabulous displayed Click images to enlarge Terms of Sale The gallery at ColstarTV offers fine art, decorative art and prints, vintage photography, entertainment memorabilia and militaria.
