Description: Okay...I have limited knowledge of stamps, apart from a bit of collecting as a kid, so here goes. Our uncle was a serious philatelist and we're just beginning to get a handle on his vast collection.This 6-1/8" by 5" cover is postmarked on April 20, 1938 which was the German Chancellor's 49th Birthday. This postmark was only used one day per year and is highly collectible by historians or WWII collectors. Overall very good vintage condition. It does have some old bend remnants and a tiny pencil notation at bottom edge. We're also including a German "Name Day" postcard from 1938 as its cancellation may be of interest to collectors.Questions?
