Here is one sad mention of its passing in Boston media:On Friday (January 2015), Debi Greenberg announced that this July she will shutter her independent retail outfit, Louis of Boston. For many of us, this doesn’t come as a surprise. Louis has been a fixture in Boston for more than 85 years -- initially on Newbury Street. But god, I’ll miss it. The demise of Louis heralds a new era of Boston blandification and the triumph of the ho-hum.This sport coat features a beautiful 100% wool fabric with parallel violet and rust-orange colored threads creating the herringbone pattern. The colors are best shown in the first and the sixth closeup photos of the fabric. The other photos show well the style and cut of the jacket. The fifth photo documents the Louis provenance of this garment.This jacket is in absolutely like-new condition.
